| Prof. Ivan Drenikov Professor Ivan Drenikov was awarded the "II Sagrttario d'Oro" International UNICEF Art Award in 1980 in Rome, his award is given to prominent people for "outstanding contribution to art" and Prof. Drenikov received it in the same year with conductor Franco Ferrara. The international career of Ivan Drenikov started at the age of 18, when he received the award of the prestigious Kalian competition for pianists "F. Buzzoni", followed by a series of concerts with the RAI Orchestra, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, etc. For the last 45 years Drenikov has been a soloist of internationally-renowned orchestras in the whole world. He has given hundreds of concerts in Europe, the USA, South America, Australia at the most prestigious concert halls and reputable concert cycles. The European musical critique was rapturous about his debut in Rome, Paris, Moscow, Bucharest, Prague and Warsaw in the press dailies, weeklies, etc., such as Lc Monde, Le Figaro, II Messagero, I'Epoca, Oxford Mail, etc. His records have been released all over the world, the Brahms Concerto Nr. 1 - in 55 countries. His art is featured in three encyclopaedias - Russian, French and German. He is an Honorary Member of the European Academy of Arts France. Prof. Drenikov was trained at the Academies of Sofia, Rome and Vienna. His contacts with P. Vladigerov, V.Vitale and A. B. Michclangeli were of greatest significance to him. He has been awarded the highest state awards. For 15 years he had been a regular soloist of the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra with which he toured successfully in the USA, Russia, Mexico, England, Germany, Poland and Ukraine. Currently he is an Honorary Member of the Orchestra. At present Ivan Drenikov is a professor at the "Pancho Vladigerov" National Academy of Music. The cadenza of second part of dementi's concerto was copoced ehciusively for me by V. Kazandjiev and I am obliged to him. These record were acknowledged by critics internationally both upon their release in Europe and during their public performances in France, Germany, Spain, Luxemburg, etc. The Record of Brahms'concerto No. 1 was distributed in 55 countries by the French company "Pierre Verany", while Clementi, Beethoven and Rachmaninov were issued by "Harmonia Mundi", "Forlan"/Decca, France/ and other companies in the previous years.
